Man Wanted For String Of Commercial Burglaries In Montgomery County, Police Say

A man is wanted for a string of commercial burglaries in Montgomery County, police say.

They occurred on Redland Road in Montgomery Village and Stedwick Road in Gaithersburg during the first week of March.

The man started by using a rock to damage the exterior ATM at the Bank of America on the 17500 block of Rendland Road around 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 3.

Moments later, he forced his way into the Spice Lanka restaurant located in the 17500 block of Redland Road, stole cash from the register and fled.

He then tried to enter the Derwood Beer and Wine on the 17600 block of Redland Road and left without taking anything.

Around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, he forced his way into Vida Hair Salon on the 19100 block of Montgomery Village Avenue and stole cash from the register fled.

He then forced his way into four more businesses along the 19200 block of Montgomery Village Avenue — Dollar Tree, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Ledo’s Pizza and The Joint Chiropractic — and another business, Metro PCS, on the 9900 block of Stedwick Road, around 3:20 a.m. on Thursday, March 7. He stole cash from Moe’s and fled.

The suspect is described as an adult Black male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a slim build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
